La Farm Bread
La Farm's signature loaf. Made from locally milled organic flours, this light sour dough is crafted according to a traditional old world three-day sour dough recipe. The exact flavors and aromas of this artisan bread are the product of Lionel's apprenticeship in his native country of France-at Les Compagnons du Devoir. After seven years of study and completion of his guild studies Lionel has chosen to offer this bread in a 5 pound boule, similar to those still enjoyed on the farms throughout the French country side. Lionel crafts this bread for his community as a representation of his commitment to the values and traditions of the guild.
This bread was created as Lionel’s masterpiece at the completion of his guild training and is a symbol and representation of the centuries of training that have been passed down to him. This bread is crafted into a 5lb boule similar to the loaves found centuries ago that were baked in the community ovens found in towns across France. This loaf is sold in quarters, halves, and whole.
